MODUS FIRE w/ SANNY VELOO and FUZZTRONICA

Sydney's premier brass-driven prog-punk spectacular MODUS FIRE are teaming up with Melbourne's SANNY VELOO, a born superstar who shreds, wails and absolutely drips with charisma with his unique brand of hard-hitting, feel-good alt-rock.

Joining them will be Sydney's newest synth-pop sensation: FUZZTRONICA - an act so unique they had to build their own instruments to handle their electro-punk whimsy!

HISTORY

SANNY VELOO used to front a band called THE SUNS back in the 00's. Tom's old band BAGSTER regularly shared bills with these legends, so when Sanny's new solo project showed up online, Tom knew there had to be a reunion. This guy is a born rock star, with a soaring high voice and a total shred-lord guitar style, blended with some of the most positive, moving songwriting out there. Think of acts like WEEZER or FOO FIGHTERS fronted by LENNY KRAVITZ and you're somewhere in the ballpark, but as classic as Sanny is, he can't be defined by those generic measures, you simply have to see him yourself to believe it.

FUZZTRONICA are a brand new act out of Sydney, featuring long-time musical disruptor Claude Hay with a new squad of avant-garde synth-pop legends, making a synthy, punky, hip-hoppy kind of future-music all their own. It rings of some Aussie legends like Regurgitator and Bluejuice, and Claude's hand-built “Buzzbox” guitar is an instrument of his own invention - we are absolutely stoked to be connecting with this wild new act, and hope you're going to love them!
