Overbreak // Blind Eliza // Modus Fire
Blind Eliza contacted us out of the blue, asking us to join this gig at fairly late notice. We'd never met them or Overbreak, and ended up having a really special time connecting with these bands and their fans. We were lucky enough to have 2 photographers at this gig, Chelsea Hoyn by intention and Junior Jin by surprise
Modus Fire's biggest show yet! We were honoured beyond words to play this one. Bodyjar are one of Tom's greatest influences, and this one had a personal angle. Dansonfest is held in honour of a fallen hero of the punk scene, Nicholas "The Ginger Ninja" Sofer-Schrieber who left us way too young. He was a close friend of Tom's and is sorely missed, so any opportunity to honour him is welcomed.
This show originally featured a young Penrith band ANTEATERS who sadly had to pull out a few weeks before it. We took footage of this show from 6 different cameras, and a full desk recording. So far, this one video of "TONIGHT, WE'RE GOING TO TOWN ON THE WICKED" has finished production.
First time playing with one of our most favourite Aussie bands: Judo Chop! This one came together with only 10 days lead time after our original gig fell through. We had to leave 10 mins into JC's set to make our flight back to Sydney, but still got to tick a gig with THE CHOP off our bucket list. Only 2 photos exist and they're a bit dinky but we were really proud to play this one.
Standard gig. First time meeting Matt Perriman, the Mole Men drummer, who would later play with Modus for a few months in 2024/2025. First time with Will Endicott filling on on trumpet, who would play with Modus again during 2025. Only one photo of this show exists (That we know of) so hit us up if you have more.
